Greetings from Rev. Canon David Clunie

Welcome to St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church and thank you for visiting our website. St Bart’s celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2017. We hope you will visit us as we move into our next 150 years.  We want to both respect the past make a positive difference in our community.

We are now in the Advent and Christmas season. You can see our Christmas service times on the left of this page. The service at 4:00pm on Christmas Eve is very “child friendly” and everyone is welcome. Also on December 16 at 10:30 we are having our Sunday School Christmas Pageant. Later that afternoon at 4:30 you are welcome to join us for the Nine Lessons and Carols service.

Our congregation includes people from many faith backgrounds who have found a home in the Anglican Church. St Bart’s is a mid-sized church that is small enough for us to know each other and large enough to offer programs for different ages and groups. We have a thriving Sunday School for ages 3-12 and a nursery for children younger than 3. Our Sunday services try to achieve a balance of traditional Anglicanism with familiar hymns and services and a more contemporary approach. We have an active choir and music program that greatly enriches our weekly worship.

We take our mission to the world seriously. As an example we are currently sponsoring eight new refugees. We are also involved in working with ministries of our larger church in housing and other support services for our community’s most needy.

If you have an Anglican background you will find much that is familiar. If you are from a church of a different tradition or have had little or no church affiliation please know you are welcome. Upon entering the church everyone receives a bulletin that guides you through the services. See "What to expect on Sunday" for more details.
